To create this piece, I traveled to the Namgeja Mountains of Colombia to live with and learn from the Kogi people. I used a pigment their Mamo (Spiritual Leader) gifted me to create a painting. I used my time with them - their ways, beliefs, deities, and stories - as inspiration to create this sculpture.
